A well-crafted ensemble takes technical skill and knowledge in fashion design. The Certificate Course in Fashion Design exposes and introduces students to the creative side of the fashion industry - from learning how to draw inspiration from different fashion influencers, coming up with conceptual designs, to acquiring the basics of fashion illustration.
Course Content:
- Design Studio 1: Creative Problem Solving
- Textile Technology
- Basic Illustration
This 1-semester program is a substantial introductory course to the fashion industry. In Design Studio, students will experience how to create a unique and inspired collection. They will be taught the basics of illustration to enable them to visualize and render their designs. In Textile Technology, students will see the value of textile selection in the fashion process and the design itself.
