Course details
This BIFM qualification is the most appropriate level for learners to gain a rounded knowledge in essential Facilities Management competences and those seeking to consolidate their skills and knowledge to gain sustainable employment in the facilities management sector.
It is particularly appropriate to both middle managers and service personnel who have been working in the Forces Quartermaster roles.
Pre-requisites
There are no formal entry requirements, but learners will normally have been working or had experience in the field of facilities management.

This qualification does not expire.
Length of Course
Depending on study mode, a maximum of 2 years for completion of this BIFM qualification.
Course Information
Candidates will complete one mandatory unit and a number of optional units to make a minimum of 12 credits. The unit titles are:
- FM4.01 - Overview of facilities management (6 credits)
- FM4.04 - Understanding facilities management support services operations (6 credits)
- FM4.05 - Managing health and safety in own area of facilities management (6 credits)
- FM4.13 - Developing relationships with suppliers and specialists in facilities management (3 credits)
- FM4.19 - Understanding sustainability and environmental issues and the impact of facilities management (3 credits)
Assessment
All of our BIFM facilities management courses are structured to offer distance, blended and tutor-led instruction and facilitation. Assessment tasks are both practical and work-based and measured against clear learning outcomes.
