The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety provides a broad understanding of the general health and safety issues that affect all types of organisations and enables risks to be managed effectively.
The NEBOSH International General Certificate classroom course involves attendance at two, one week faceto- face study periods that cover Units IGC1, GC2 and GC3. The study periods lead up to the separate examination day, allowing time for private study and to attend the optional revision and examination tutorial period.

Course content:
The NEBOSH International General Certificate covers the main international requirements for health and safety , centification and control of workplace hazards, and the practical application of this knowledge. This is reflected in the three units that comprise the qualification.

Unit GC2 Controlling workplace hazards
- Workplace hazards and risk control
- Transport hazards and risk control
- Musculoskeletal hazards and risk control
- Work equipment hazards and risk control
- Electrical safety
- Fire safety
- Chemical and biological hazards and risk control
- Physical and psychological health hazards and risk control.
Unit GC3 Health and safety practical application
- A workplace-based practical assignment that covers the application of understanding related to units IGC1 and GC2.
