BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus(BPDC) is the branch campus of the internationally reputed Birla Institute of Technology and Science(BITS) Pilani, India and the largest Engineering institution in Dubai International Academic City. It was set-up in the year 2000 to offer quality engineering education to the residents of UAE, Gulf and other Countries.
The Dubai Campus imbibes the rich traditions and academic standards of Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, Rajasthan, India, delivering excellence in technological education with continuous innovation in curriculum and pedagogy, pervasive industry engagement through practice school and an enriched campus life.
The Institution has 1500 students admitted from over 20 countries world-wide. It has an excellent academically conducive infrastructure along with well-experienced, highly qualified and dedicated faculty and staff. The Institute has collaboration with over 380 reputed companies across UAE to offer internship to its students.
2327 students have graduated from Dubai Campus in nine batches from the first degree and one batch from the higher degree programmes. These graduates are employed in more than 600 prestigious companies around the world, or have completed or pursuing Masters and Ph.D. programmes from more than 75 leading universities worldwide. Many graduates are also successful entrepreneurs.

Mission

The institute has entered into academic collaborations with several leading universities for student exchange, faculty exchange, admission into graduate programmes, joint research, credits transfer etc. The professional activities at the campus have no parallel and BPDC is among the very few institutions in the Middle East to have recognized student chapters of professional societies such as IEEE, ASHRAE, ASME, SAE, ACM etc.

Objective

The pursuit of excellence requires a transparent and honest approach. At BITS Pilani, they have always believed this to be true and are one of the few top institutes in India to favour a ‘Merit Only’ based admission policy.To ensure complete transparency in student intake in the undergraduate courses we have instituted BITSAT, a fully online exam. BITSAT tests students on their aptitude for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. BITSAT also has a section on English and Logical reasoning, thus becoming a complete analysis of a candidate’s intelligence and capability
