Those who want a career switch to aviation industry and newly recruited personnel, who wish to seek recognition as trained technicians in the aviation industry.

Course Objectives

• This course is designed to train participants in three aspects; namely, to identify defects on composite structures, repair and perform wet and dry lay up of composite materials.

Course Structure

• Participants will be taught:
• Fundamentals of composite materials
• Key reinforcements and matrix materials
• Identification of defects & Repair processes
• Nondestructive evaluation
• Tools for repair and inspections
• Personal protection equipment
• Handling, storage and documentation

Student – Lecturer Ratio

Theory:

• The ratio of Lecturer to Students is 1:32 for theory classes

Practical:

• The ratio of Lecturer to Students is 1:16 for practical training.

Learning And Teaching Methods

• All classes will be a mix of lectures and practical skills training

Student Assessment

• WSQ courses are assessed by practical assessments

Minimum Entry Requirements

• WSQ Employability Skills WPLN Proficiency Level 4 equivalent to Lower Secondary

Graduation Requirements

• Upon successful completion of courses. Participants will be awarded the ‘Statement of Attainment for WSQ Maintain Composite Structures’ by Singapore Workforce Development Agency

Attendance Requirements

• Students must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for all indivdual modules
