In this Windows Server 2008 training course you will prepare, as a Microsoft professional, to achieve the MCTS certification: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure, Configuring. With this certification you demonstrate that you have sufficient knowledge to deploy Windows Server 2008 within your own organization.

Among the subjects covered are deploying using WDS images, the various licensing options, configuring high availability, failover clusters, terminal services, Hyper-V, IIS 7.0, web services and security, media server, SharePoint foundation and much more.

Your result

After completing this training you have knowledge of the Windows deployment service and of the terminal, SharePoint foundation, web and media services. You are also prepared for Microsoft MCTS exam 70-643.

System administrators or application developers who want to achieve the MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure, Configuring certification. On completion of this training you will be able to achieve exam 70-643. Once you have this certificate you can proceed to the certification MCITP: Enterprise Administrator certification.

Prerequisites

You have general knowledge of and practical experience with administering Windows Server 2008 in an environment which meets the following requirements:

• 250 to 5,000 users or more
• 3 or more physical locations
• 3 or more domain controllers
• Network services such as messaging, a database, file and print, a proxy server, a firewall, internet, intranet, remote access and managing clients.
