This course has been awarded 7 CME credit hours by the Department of Health (Abu Dhabi)NeoConsult's Obstetric Emergency Workshop is designed to theorise practice and develop the clinical knowledge and skills in emergency situations. This course focuses on pregnant women and adopts a structured approach to dealing with obstetric emergencies.
Course topics include:
- Antepartum Haemorrhage (APH)
- Severe PET
- Cord presentation and cord prolapse
- Breech
- Uterine inversion/Uterine rupture
- Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH)
- Sepsis
- Discuss risk factors and potential complications of PPH
- Discuss the risk factors for Uterine Inversion and Uterine Rupture
- Describe management of cord presentation/cord prolapse
- Understand signs and symptoms of PET and potential complications
- Describe management of APH
- Define diagnosis of sepsis in the obstetric patient
