This programme is designed to enable learner’s progress their skills from Comp TIA A+ or Network +, to become certified in 2 MCP’s with Customer Care Skills. The Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) credentials prove that you have the skills to successfully implement, manage, and troubleshoot the on-going needs of Microsoft Windows based Operating Environments. These certifications help you get hired, get recognized, and get ahead in the IT marketplace. The Microsoft Certifications are a Labour Market recognised certification and demand is anticipated to grow in the foreseeable future. We have included in this year’s programme a Customer Care module which will enhance job prospects within the Help/Service Desk support roles. This is a programme including work placement. Programme. Applicants for this Momentum Programme must be unemployed for longer and be in receipt of Job seekers Allowance / Benefit.

Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 18 years.
• Have a keen interest in the technical side of computing which can be illustrated by any of the following: CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network + 1 MCP certification City & Guilds Computer Maintenance or equivalent IT Maintenance work background Pass an aptitude test at Ballyfermot IT Centre
• Applicants will undergo a short knowledge based test of multiple choice answers. Applicant must have access to a computer with Internet access. Must have Interest in computer networks.
• Desirable but not essential. Access to a computer with Internet access. Interest in computer networks.
