The aim of the programme is to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to successfully manage a warehousing and/or transport business or to operate as a Warehousing and/or Transport Manager in a transport or distribution company. The programme includes Certificate in Professional Competence in Transport Management, Occupational First Aid, Customer Service and Warehousing and Storage Skills. Learners will also complete of work placement and gain valuable experience working in a warehousing or transport company. There is currently a demand for persons to work as warehousing or transport managers/supervisors and by completing this course learners will be well positioned to take up employment in a junior or middle management role in a transport and distribution company. Applicants for this Momentum Programme must be unemployed for longer and be in receipt of Job seekers Allowance / Benefit or on the Live Register for longer. Eligibility must be confirmed by DSP Employment Services.

Requirements

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or over.
• No Specific Education/Training Level Required
• Spatial aptitude Good numerical and literacy skills Excellent command of the English language Candidates must pass a Basic English reading and Writing Test
• Experience working in the transport, distribution or logistics industry is an advantage but not a necessity Having previous Bus/Truck Driving Experience is an advantage but not a necessity Ability to read and write and complete a written exam.
