This is a one year full time course designed for students wishing to pursue a career in the sports/leisure/recreation/ nutrition industry. This course combines both practical and theoretical elements. Students who qualify in this area can pursue the following careers:

• Gym /Fitness Instructor,
• Sports Retail Management,
• Personal Trainer,
• Sports Development Officer,
• Recreation and Leisure Management.
• Students can also achieve F.A.I. and G.A.A.accreditation certification. Graduates can apply to Institutes of
• technology for follow on courses.

Entry requirements

A pass at Leaving certificate / leaving certificate applied(merit) or equivalent is required.
