The six sigma yellow belt practitioner is a professional that is well versed in the fundamentals of Six Sigma. The fundamentals will include a deep understanding of the tools used in the six sigma field. The yellow belt certification is ideal for those people that are new to the six sigma ;

Not only will six sigma yellow belt allow the practitioner to participate and assist green belts and black belts with Six sigma projects, but a certified yellow belt practitioner will also be able to affect small improvements in their own and immediate working section. The holder of the yellow belt certification can be considered to be a subject matter expert (SME) in six sigma.
