An applicant wishing to apply for the Single Engine Rating Instrument Rating will hold at least the following:
- Instrument rating ATPL theoretical exams
- Class 2 medical
- Private Pilots Licence
- Night Rating
- 50 hours cross country flight time as Pilot In Command (PIC)
The Course
The SEIR is an additional endorsement that may be added to a Private Pilots Licence to allow a person to fly in low visibility conditions (IFR).
The course comprises:
- 50 hours single engine flight training
- 20 hours comprehensive ground school
