This Masterclass covers skills such as developing the story idea and write a script that has commercial and/or artistic potential by identifying the theme of the story, developing creative plots and compelling characters. Thereafter, learning how to write evocative action and descriptors, develop effective and appropriate dialogue as well as the appropriate pacing for the story.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Understand the types of film story genres and genre boundaries and the three-act structure used in storytelling and concepts
- Develop compelling characters, plot and sub-plots through action and control the pace of the narrative
- Develop appropriate and effective dialogue for characters and scripts through various drafts
