The course is designed for Onshore and Offshore personnel with the responsibilities of wearing breathing apparatus as part of routine operations.
Course Pre-requisites
There are no prerequisites for Breathing Apparatus Awareness Training.
Course Learning Outcomes
During the training, the delegate will focus on the following elements:
- Current legislation
- Basic Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Construction
- Pre operational checks
- Air management guidelines
- SCBA set assembly
- Pre operational check
- Donning and doffing
- Walk about in SCBA
- Restricted areas in SCBA
- SCBA Set removals
- Airline attachment
- Recording of pre operational checks
Elements 5 through to 12 will be performed practically
Certification
Each delegate will be issued with a Qatar International Safety Centre Certificate.
