The Institute of Medicine (IOM) Define safety as “ Freedom from accidental injury” patient safety is a discipline in the healthcare sector that applies scientific safety methods towards the goal of achieving a trustworthy system of healthcare delivery. Patient Safety is also an attribute of healthcare system; it minimizes the incidence of impact of and maximizes recovery from unexpected adverse events.

Healthcare Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (HFMEA): A Practical Approach (40% of the final mark)
