Tamkeen in association with Bahrain Development Bank (BDB) launches the Pre-Seed Capital Support Scheme specifically for innovative and creative business ideas which could be developed further into successful business ventures. The scheme will provide support towards the implementation of creative projects, both financially as well as advisory, apart from offering networking support.

A financial support of up to will be contributed towards the development of the business idea

into a prototype before business commercialisation. The applicant may also be required to financially contribute towards the prototype development to whatever extent possible.

Supporting creative business ideas to be developed into an actual prototype

Providing advisory and networking support/services required to encourage the entrepreneur and facilitate the development of the prototype

Who can apply:

• Bahraini entrepreneurs or those having joint proposals with majority Bahraini ownership proposing and developing innovative business ideas
• Entrepreneur age range 19 to 45 years
• Enterprises which are under formation or in start-up phase with innovative entrepreneurs willing to pursue the developed prototype into a commercial project
• Enterprise must be based in Bahrain

• Business Commercial Registration (if existing)
• Implementation plan (full detail of phases, break-up of all costs of prototype development)
• Ownership documents (if applicable)
• Preliminary protection (if applicable)
• Copy of patent (if applicable)
• Other documents (if applicable)
