PhoneGap is a free and open source framework that allows you to create apps that run on a number of different device platforms. This course is aimed at students who do not have any previous experience with programming, or are new to PhoneGap.

Once the learner has completed this course they will be able to:

- Develop a mobile application that can run on a number of different platforms
- Deploy a mobile application

This course introduces the learner to the area of mobile application development. The topics that are covered during this course include:

- Maximizing your cross platform offerings
- Designing a user interface
- Developing a user interface
- Downloading and installing a development environment
- Creating a mobile application project
- Local data storage
- Storing data externally
- Using a device emulator
- Deploying an application to devices
