Course Overview

This course emphasizes the role of the well as part of the Integrated Production System. It covers well completion design concepts and the technical selection criteria for key completion components. Participants will engage in group exercises on completion design and well performance. The course also provides insights from an operating company’s perspective on well completion and production management.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• State how Well Completion fits into E&P Activity.
• Recall and discuss hydrocarbon exploitation considerations for well productivity and completion design.
• Describe the main parameters that influence Well Performance and Productivity.
• Explain the selection and design factors of the completion string and components.
• Carry out a completion design and explain how it will be implemented in the well.
