The course aims to enable learn­ers to develop their knowl­edge, skills and qual­i­fi­ca­tions to gain employ­ment as assis­tant instruc­tors in the out­door recre­ation sec­tor in Ire­land. The course also acts as a foun­da­tion for pro­gres­sion to degree or Higher National Diploma pro­grammes in Third Level insti­tu­tions nation­ally. Stu­dents also have the option of pro­gress­ing to the Level 6sport, recre­ation & exer­cise pro­gramme here in Drogheda Institute.
