تفاصيل الدورة
The Medicines Management in Palliative Care course is an exciting learning opportunity for pharmacists. Drawing on the principles of palliative care as they apply to the use of medicines, the course provides comprehensive information on the pharmacological management of pain and other common symptoms; practical introduction to the use of syringe pumps in palliative care; strategies to optimise pharmaceutical care of patients with palliative care needs; and an overview of the clinical, legal and administrative aspects of prescribing, dispensing and administering medicines for patients at the end of life in the Irish setting.
This year, the course is delivered using an online learning component in conjunction with the All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care. In addition to attending the face-to-face day, participants will engage in pre and post course online interactive presentations, case studies, problem solving activities, and assessments. The course is supported by the School of Pharmacy, Trinity College Dublin.
