The LL.M. (Master of Laws) is an advanced qualification for law graduates and legal professionals. The programme has been designed in consultation with law professionals in the South-East and beyond to develop specialist legal knowledge which is vital to an evolving legal landscape.
The inclusion of cutting-edge modules including social network law, mediation, media law, financial regulation, and insolvency law together with advanced modules on probate law, medical malpractice law and white collar crime will contribute to both the academic and professional development of the participant in an increasingly competitive market.
Professional lawyers operating in the South-East region will have the opportunity to earn Continuous Professional Development points.
Modules
The LL.M is a 90 credit Masters programme consisting of 60 credits of taught modules and a 30 credit dissertation. The course is available full time.

Entry Requirements
- The standard entry requirement for admission to the LL.M programme will be an undergraduate level 8 recognised law degree with applicants holding at least a Second Class Honours (Grade 1) degree being given priority. Candidates holding a Second Class Honours (Grade 2) may be admitted on a sui generis basis.
- Candidates presenting without these qualifications but with relevant and substantial experience may be considered for entry via the Institute’s RPL process on a case-by-case basis.
- The Institute welcomes applications from suitably qualified international applicants.
- Applicants whose first language is not English must submit evidence of competency in English.
