Who should complete this course?

• Anyone who works in marketing or a marketing-related role.
• Owners of new or growing businesses who wish to gain an accredited qualification in marketing.
• Small business owners who wish to improve their marketing effectiveness.
• People who wish to gain a professional, accredited qualification in marketing by home-study distance learning.

Learners who successfully complete this course will:

• be competent in the principles of marketing communications
• have detailed knowledge of communication theory
• be able to apply the various marketing communication tools to a work place scenario
• have a comprehensive understanding of the role of marketing communications in achieving organizational objectives.

This distance learning, FETAC accredited course means that Students can study flexibly at home, or at any convenient place and time, and can gain a nationally accredited Qualification.

Entry Requirements / Prerequisites:

• Leaving Cert or equivalent, and/or relevant life or work experience.
• Learners are expected to be proficient at reading, drafting, preparing and understanding information across a broad range of topics, including quantitative information for a Level 5 award and more complex information for Level 6 award.
• As this programme is delivered through distance learning, students must be capable of studying on their own initiative.
• Students must be competent in both written and spoken English.

Progression to further Studies:

• This course leads to a level 6 award on the National Framework of Qualifications.
• Students who successfully complete this programme may use this Level 6 credit towards the FETAC advanced Certificate: Management (Ref. BMANX) and Administration (BAXXX).
