Leading an Empowered Organisation (LEO) is a programme that is designed for professionals from all disciplines of management and with all levels of expertise. The LEO programme is accredited by the University of Leeds. The LEO programme guarantees that individuals will learn invaluable skills to equip them with the necessary leadership skills and qualities in a modern health service. Leadership skills are required at all levels of a care facility/organisation. Leadership in the health care sector in all disciplines has never been more important and all the experts agree that leadership skills can be learned. LEO provides the basis for developing healthy relationships within the work environment, assertive communication strategies, skilled problem solvers, positive discipline strategies and confident management skills. The LHP Skillnet has obtained a not for profit licence to run this excellent programme for the network members. The LHP Skillnet will be offering the LEO programme to managers from all disciplines within the network members throughout the regions.
