This course instructs pers, tenders, and pe system technicians how to perform routine repair and maintenance of all KMDSI Helmets, BandMask, and other specific associated equipment including first stage regulators, whips and gauges. The course also covers how to conduct Helmet and BandMask inspections, adjustments, and overhauls as well as face port insert testing and security., removal and repairing the side block, removal of weights and learn about the KMDSI set-up and maintenance checklists, and Operations and Maintenance Manuals.

The basic technician course does not include instruction in fiberglass and gel coat repair. Upon completion, each student will receive a three-year certification valid for the inpidual's own equipment and/or the company or affiliate company's equipment for which the inpidual works, as well as equipment belonging to other ping employees of the company as dictated by company policy.

KBA TRAINING CENTRE (KBAT)

KBA Training Centre (KBAT) is now approved to instruct the Kirby Morgan DSI Helmet & Bandmask User Operator and Basic Maintenance courses for technicians. The courses consist of maintenance of yoke/neck clamp assembly, shell inspection, side block & demand valve, as well monthly and daily procedures, checklists and record keeping. Our instructors all have over 25 years in the commercial ping industry and have been trained by Kirby Morgan pe Systems Incorporated / pe Lab Incorporated in the USA.
