Introduction

The Interior Designer, working to the client's specification creates 3 dimensional spaces, enriching them with an in-depth knowledge of lighting, colour, materials, space planning and construction details. The work involves conceptual design, presentation drawings, materials specification, lighting and furniture presentations, overseeing site construction and contract implementation. Computer Aided Design (CAD) has become an essential tool in the process.

Entry Requirements

Leaving Certificate/LCA

• Applicants should have achieved five passes at ordinary level. LCA applicants should submit details of credits awarded.

Others including Mature Students

• Applicants without the entry requirements are welcome and will be assessed individually.

Other Requirements

It is not a requirement to bring a portfolio, however, a portfolio can be made up of a variety of work that reflects the applicant’s drawings, paintings, photographs of interior schemes completed or any work that shows a keen interest in design.
