Overview:

In this course, students will become familiar with the architecture and features of the HP Intelligent Management Center (IMC) software and learn how to install it. Upon completion, students will be able to create an implementation plan using IMC as the enterprise network management platform.

Objectives:

• Install IMC. 
• Create SNMP and Telnet templates.
• Create device groups.
• Create device groups.
• Gather performance data using the Data Collector.
• View alarms. 
• Run reports
• Describe the IMC architecture.
• Perform the initial startup of IMC including discovery of devices.
• Create operators.
• Create custom groups
• Perform a backup and a restore.
• Manage events.
• Forward alarm notifications.
• Create ACL templates.
