Theoretical and practical course for surface and/or subsea installations at Fundamental (i.e. Toolpusher/Superintendent and Drilling Foreman) level. Designed to enhance understanding of the fundamental or well control that can be applied to most well control operations, and to prepare candidates for IADC WellCAP testing.
COURSE CONTENT
- The practice and theory of well control for surface and subsea BOP operations at Fundamental level
- IADC WellCAP well control standards
COURSE DEFINITION SURFACE AND COMBINED
Prior to attending, delegates shall indicate which type of BOP certificate course (i.e. “Surface” or “Combined”) is required:
- Surface BOP certificate course is for surface mounted BOP’s only
- Combined BOP certificate course covers both surface and subsea mounted BOP’s
