This is a course designed to give training in the skills and education required for the Hairdressing and Beauty industries. Students will do a work experience module which will involve spending one day per week on work experience.

Skin Care, Eye Treatments & Make Up (5N3466) Word Processing (5N1358) Creative Styling (5N3349) Cosmetic Studies (5N5307) Retail Selling (5N1616)

Entry Requirements:

Leaving Certificate / Leaving Certificate Applied or QQI/ FETAC Level 4. Mature students with relevant life or work experience. All candidates will be interviewed individually.

Work Experience:

Work Experience is a compulsory part of this course

Certification:

QQI Level 5 Major Award in Hairdressing

Prospects:

Successful completion of the course will enable the learner to enter employment in the Hairdressing & Beauty Care Industries or go on to further study at QQI Level 6 or Third Level through the Higher Education Links Scheme.
