BLI, ATO 0373, offers an intensive Aviation English programme, designed to ensure that non-English speaking trainee pilots and ATCs achieve the levels of English competency required by the International Civil Aviation Organisation for effective radio telephony, as well as equipping them to study and write exams in English. The 4 week course consists of 30 x 50-minute lessons per week, and should be taken by students who have successfully completed an Intermediate level exit test (ICAO Level 3 equivalent).Bay Language Institute, conveniently located near five flying schools, has built up a good reputation for quality and excellent results in Aviation English training. Some two years ago we were accredited by the South African CAA to assess English Language Proficiency for pilots and ATCs.
Standard Avation English courses are a combination of General English in the morning (20 lessons) and Aviation English in the afternoon (10 lessons). Aviation English is conducted by an experienced and enthusiastic English teacher, with extensive and ongoing input from experienced pilots and ATCs.
Besides this course, bli offers intensive aviation English courses to aviation students who require ICAO level 4, as well as to closed groups from different countries. This course takes four weeks in total, 30 x Intermediate level (ICAO level 3 equivalent). This program is also valid for other flying schools in South Africa and Africa. تحديث بتاريخ 02 April, 2019
