This course will explore the role and importance of an artiste, what they do, and how they impact the career of the artiste and their brand. The course begins by introducing basic knowledge such as: Building up of self confidence, Creativity Development, Performing Skills, Stage Presentation, Basic Acting Skills, Self Expression and Media Communication Skills.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

The course places strong emphasis on the art of singing. Students will learn proper singing techniques, vocal and breathing exercises, pitching, selective listening, projecting and blending.

Students will undergo strict and intense training delivered by renowned Singaporean singer/songwriter Roy Li Fei Hui, who has had more than 20 years of experience in the Mandopop industry. The Foundation in Artiste Development Programme aims to nurture professional all-rounded artistes who are proficient in areas such as:

• Basic Acting Skills
• Self Expression
• Media Communication Skills
• Studio & Video Practice

COURSE OUTCOME

This course is designed to train those who wish to pursue a career as an artiste and music enthusiasts seeking entry into the industry.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

• At least 15 years old
• Junior Middle School or other international equivalent

AUDITION

All applicants for this course are required to attend an interview and audition to ascertain their proficiencies in the following areas:

All applicants to this course will be interviewed or auditioned. For the audition, the following should be prepared based on your main study instrument.

• 3-6 minute performance of three songs

INTERVIEW

An interview with an appointed SRMC assessor on general music knowledge and awareness.
