This workshop addresses the skills and knowledge required by a team leader to work effectively in the area of developing team members' skills. It covers identifying skill development needs, addressing skill needs and motivating employees to develop their skills.

Course Content

• Review current skills and needs of team members
• Identify further needs of the team members
• Develop the learning opportunities for team members to address these needs
• Provide motivation and support
• Motivate team members to work independently
• Provide on-the-job support and coaching
• Encourage team members to take on additional portfolios so as to learn throughout the process

Target Audience

This course is suitable for Supervisors, Managers or Team Leaders who are required to constantly identify and address the skill development needs of their team members, and to motivate them to work independently

Assessment and Certificate

Role Plays and written assignment form part of the assessment requirements Upon successful completion, participants will receive the WSQ Statement of Attainment
