Welcome to Canada’s first fully online (Executive) MBA specialty track in Real Estate Leadership! This visionary new program has been jointly developed and is supported by the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC)*.
*REIC’s CLO, CPM, CRF or FRI-designated members will be granted a 1-course advanced standing (replacing 1 of the 2 Level B electives).
Course Overview
According to data from Industry Canada, the residential, commercial and industrial real estate industry in Canada, including the total value of property and facilities sales and leases, and property management fees, is approximately $100 billion, supporting some 600,000 jobs. An industry of this magnitude, subject as it is to the influence of substantial swings in a region’s economic and political influences, needs leaders with the vision and ever-developing competence to guide their organizations through these potentially turbulent waters, towards greater and more robust performance.
Target Audience
Our online EMBA with a focus in Real Estate Leadership is designed for advanced-career professionals and managers of real estate organizations such as brokerages and property management companies who aspire to lead their businesses towards much higher performance. It begins with coverage of fundamental management essentials such as financial, analytical and decision-making skills, and knowledge of an organization's core functions and interactions. The program goes much further than that. Its core focus is on leadership techniques, especially collaborative leadership in the complex context of dual objectives and multiple stakeholders; but it augments this core focus with a series of specialty courses focused exclusively on the needs of Real Estate leaders.
