The course is designed to teach students advanced ability to actively take part in fire inspections and enforce the UAE and other international fire and safety codes. Above and beyond gaining more in-depth knowledge from the level 1 course, the students will gain the following skills:
-     Processing a permit application
-     Determining occupancy load of a multiple-use occupancy Building
-     Calculating occupant load of a multiuse structure
-     Determining exit capacity
-     Determining fire flow
-     Inspecting sprinkler systems
-     Inspecting fire extinguishing systems
-     Inspecting alarm systems
-     Identifying code violations involving fire hazards.
-     Inspecting fire department access
-     Identifying code violations and unsafe behaviors involving hazardous materials
-     Determining if system plans are code compliant
-     Evaluating an evacuation drill.
-     Responding to a citizen complaint
-     Preparing correspondence regarding a code compliance issue.
