e-Business is a suitable profession for those individuals with a futuristic approach towards business. It is also one of the fastest growing professions in the world, attracting more and more students wanting to specialise in e-Business. This is an intensive course. It offers a wide range of subjects with a particular emphasis on e-Business and Marketing. The main aim of the course is to allow students gain practical and theoretical appreciation of the role played by technology in business today. It also allows students to appreciate the opportunities presented by the web and e-Business to successfully market products and services.

Minimum Entry Requirements

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent standard of education
• Successful completion of interview
• Basic computer skills

Opportunities/Progression

Students who successfully complete this course may have the option to continue their studies at the Centre progressing to the Business Management QQI Level 6 course. Students who have satisfied the criteria set by the CAO process for progression to third level education may secure a place into the National Universities of Ireland and many of the Institutes of Technology. Some of the employment opportunities include web design, on-line marketing, market research, retail sales, administration, e-government, or other area of business both in the public and private sectors.
