If you are working as a quarry manager, the Diploma of Surface Operations Management will give you the training and skills to measure, quantify, develop and manage operations in a safe, highly-regulated and competitive environment.

You will learn how to develop teams and individuals, produce financial reports, monitor safe workplaces and implement site plans and maps. Gain skills in facilitating change within the workplace, promoting the business and conducting health and safety investigations. You will develop skills in effective communication, managing major incidents and emergencies, conducting construction material operation sales and establishing quarry operations.

What employment opportunities will I have?

Quarry managers with the Diploma qualification are employed in medium to large, complex quarry operations. This course may provide you with employment opportunities as a manager within sales administration, concrete, asphalt or aggregate.

You may also seek employment opportunities in the national and international extractive industries sector.
