Independent College Dublin’s professional legal studies course for legal executives is endorsed by the Institute of Legal Executives and leads to the award of a Certificate in Professional Legal Studies (Legal Executive) after Stage One and Diploma in Legal Studies (Legal Executive) at the end of Stage Two.
This advanced diploma in legal studies has been specifically designed to prepare students for a career as a legal executive in Ireland.
Diploma in Professional Legal Studies
- Unit 1: Law of Wills & Succession; Probate Practice
- Unit 2: Family Law; Family Law & Practice
- Unit 3: Employment Law; Employment Law & Practice
- Unit 4* (elective): Criminal Law & Procedure
- Unit 4* (elective): Company & Partnership Law & Practice; Company Law Practice
Each unit has a 2 hour examination.
Assessment Details
- This diploma is assessed by a two-hour examination in each topic.
Entry Requirements
- The course is open admission and there are no entry requirements.
