Construction Information Technology

This module covers the concept of hardware and software components and concepts of information technologies used in the construction industry. Concepts of computing system, operating system, networking system, the Internet, information security and database management technologies, crime and ethics will be covered.

Marketing Management

This unit introduces students to the concepts of marketing. In addition, the mechanism of the marketing process is also discussed with extensive coverage on topics of the marketing mixes, i.e. product, price, promotions and distribution.

Business Law

This unit covers the basic concepts of the legal system in Singapore. It will discuss about the different components of business law including legal system in Singapore, contract law, Tort of negligence, and company law.

Business Statistics

This unit provides a better appreciation of statistics with the application of probability into hypotheses testing. This also includes topics like sampling distribution, confidence interval, simple correlation, regression analysis, etc.

Human Resource Management for Construction

This unit provides students with the knowledge of the different activities used in building human resources within an organization. This includes recruitment & selection management, designing compensations and benefits programs, planning for training & development of staffs. This unit also include the topic of the Human resource Practices in contemporary building and construction industry.

Entry Requirment

• above 17 years old
• GCE 'O' Level Passed Chinese Maths and Science;
• OR mature candidate with minimum 2 years' working experience;
• OR Recognized Secondary School/Secondary Specialized Diploma
• Language Requirement：9 years' formal education taught in Mandarin Chinese OR GCE ‘O’ Level Passed Chinese subject. .
