This course is for peo­ple who are inter­ested in all areas of Design. It can be tailor-​made to suit the learner’s needs. The course intro­duces learn­ers to all ele­ments of Design and allows spe­cial­i­sa­tion in spe­cific areas such as: Gen­eral Design, Tex­tile and Sur­face Design, Prod­uct and Indus­trial Design, Inte­rior Archi­tec­ture, Visual Mer­chan­dis­ing, 3D Design. The course puts huge empha­sis on the NCAD Port­fo­lio Brief which is com­pleted as part of this course. This brief pro­vides the basis for all port­fo­lio work com­pleted for all the var­i­ous Col­leges of Art and Design.

Pro­gres­sion and Career Options:

Sig­nif­i­cant job oppor­tu­ni­ties exist in the area of Design. We guide stu­dents towards their area of spe­cial­i­sa­tion and facil­i­ate them to pre­pare port­fo­lios for entry into Third Level Col­leges of Art & Design. We encour­age stu­dents to apply to all the rel­e­vant col­leges includ­ing: NCAD, DIT, LIT, GMIT, IADT, Sligo ITand the Uni­ver­sity of Ulster.
