- Understand the structure of COLREGs viz. The general conduct of the vessels, when insight of one another, when in restricted visibility, lights, shapes and sound signals, including the annexes;
- Practice the identification of lights and shapes.
- Know the importance of proper lookout and the use of ALL available means;
- Demonstrate the ability to apply the COLREG for collision avoidance
