This course is offered under the ACCS scheme. ACCS is an acronym for “Accumulation of Credits and Certification of Modules”. This scheme allows students instead of studying an entire course - to study one or more modules of that course. Modules passed, are certified individual, and can be accumulated, leading to an award of a Degree.
AWARD
- Higher Certificate in Engineering in Civil Engineering (NFQ Level 6).
Admission Requirements:
Leaving Certificate Grade D3 (Ordinary Level) in five subjects to include Mathematics and either English or Irish. Special category students (e.g. mature students) will be considered on an individual basis.
Please note that a part-time/evening delivery of this programme only occurs when sufficient demand exists; this course may NOT be available as a part-time/evening delivery in 2015/16; applications are most welcome as they allow us to assess the level of demand for the programme delivery. Please note that part-time students who are in a position to attend by day may take modules on the programme at any time.

Stage 2
- Module topic areas include Mathematics, Civil Engineering Materials, Structural Design, Structural Engineering, Land Surveying, Hydraulics and Hydrology, Planning & Development, Civil & Structural Engineering Construction, and Professional Studies.
