    PMI’s Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) ® is a valuable entry-level certification for project practitioners. Designed for those with little or no project experience, the CAPM®demonstrates your understanding of the fundamental knowledge, terminology and processes of effective project management.

    Whether you are new to project management, or already serving as a subject matter expert on project teams, the CAPM can get your career on the right path or take it to the next level.

    Objectives

    • Have a thorough understanding of PMI’s approach to project management.
    • Understand how the CAPM exam is structured, and what kinds of questions will be asked.
    • Be very familiar with all sections of the PMBOK.
    • Possess various tricks, tips, techniques, and templates to help you retain information for the exam.

    Outcomes

    • Explain the requirements for eligibility to sit the CAPM exam
    • Describe the PMIs project management framework and processes that are fundamental to their body of knowledge
    • Identify the ten core knowledge areas that comprise the PMBOK Guide® and relate key sub-processes to each knowledge area and process group
    • Recognize appropriate responses and behaviors consistent with the PMIs Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct
    • Interpret typical CAPM exam questions and select best answers in a simulated exam environment.

    Eligilibility Criteria

    To apply for the CAPM, you need to have:

    • A secondary degree (high school diploma or the global equivalent) AND
    • At least 1,500 hours of project experience OR
    • 23 hours of project management education by the time you sit for the exam.
