Course Overview
This qualification is an entry level course designed to fulfill a support role in accountancy. The CAT qualification consists of nine papers in total, divided into Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced Levels.
Minimum entry requirements:
- Minimum age 16, with no academic qualification required to start.
- Some exemptions can be given if the candidate has a relevant qualification.
Exams
Examinations for the Introductory and Intermediate Level papers can be taken as two-hour computer based exams or as a paperbased exam. The Advanced Level exams are all of three-hour duration and available as paper-based exams only. Paper-based exams are available only twice a year – June and December.
