The Certificate IV in Youth Work provides comprehensive knowledge and training in working with young people and can lead to a career in residential work, juvenile justice and the Department of Human Services.
You will learn how to support, advocate and empower young people to have a voice through an extensive range of networks. Specific course content includes case management, crisis intervention, alcohol and other drugs, mental health and workplace health and safety.
Through extensive industry placement you will gain comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and bodies across the youth work sector.
What employment opportunities will I have?
After successful completion of this course you may look for employment opportunities in residential work, juvenile justice, the Department of Human Services, non-government and volunteer agencies.
