Evaluate their own behaviour in the context of mental health. Plan actions to promote their own well-being and investigate personal expression through the arts. Students should be able to explore opportunities to participate in social/community life as a means of promoting mental health. Students should also be able to identify risk and protective factors associated with mental health and demonstrate an understanding of mood and mood disorders through heightened emotional self-awareness. Students should have the ability to outline major therapeutic approaches and outline the basic understanding of how depression, anxiety, substance misuse, and isolation may interact in mental health issues.

All applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Lifelong Learning reserves the right to require applicants to attend for an interview to determine their suitability for the programme.
