The Business Management course provides a well-integrated and applied knowledge of the major aspects of business, and the ability to relate these to practical issues of Management. This course combines theory and practical to give students a solid foundation and critical understanding of the cutting edge skills expected of modern business management.

Students will explore the role of management within an organisation focusing on planning, motivating, organising, monitoring, review and control. They will also examine the difference between management and leadership and motivation, and the effects of different types of leadership styles on both the individual and groups. In addition students will focus on the role of HR, covering the areas of development, appraisal, performance and conflict.

In addition learners will be given the opportunity to enhance their competence in all forms of communication and appreciate the need for ongoing professional development.

Entry Requirement

• Entry to this course is by direct application to the college. There are no previous academic requirements.
