Course Overview
This course is tailored specifically for working professionals, who want an edge in their workplaces. It will prepare you to understand common vocabulary and speak basic Arabic phrases:
- Greetings
- Common questions: Where are you from? Where do you live? What is your job? What is your name? Do you like living in Dubai?
- Family words and phrases
- Speaking about yourself
Be prepared to learn the Arabic that people actually use in Dubai. In Dubai, you will come across people from Oman to Iraq. Learn how to communicate with all of them.
About the Instructor:
Your teacher is a native Arabic speaker, who trained as an English teacher in New Zealand (CELTA). After working in New Zealand and Japan, he taught English and Arabic in the UK. He follows the communicative approach, which emphasizes group work and pair work, and emphasizes actual usage or functional Arabic. There is much less theory and more practical application.
