PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE
The aim of the programme is to
- Enhance the survival level skill in reading English text
- To learn to compose very basic messages within a business or world of work context.
PROGRAMME CONTENT
The course mainly covers the following:
- Exchange greetings in a business context
- Eliciting personal information
- Use of verb forms (simple, present and present continuous)
- Use of adjectives
- Use of affirmative and negative questions
- Use of basic terms in socializing
PROGRAMME ACHIEVEMENT
After undergoing the course the candidate will be able to
- Read and provide answers to simple short answer questions
- Compose very basic messages within business world
- Beginners who want to improve their English skills
- This programme is designed for those who will commence their careers as clerical or general office staff.
TARGET GROUP
This course is appropriate for
- Candidates whose English language skills are primitive, however, the person is familiar with the alphabets.
- Students who score less than 15 in the entrance English test.
