The modules under WSQ Advanced Certificate in Retail Supervision are developed for retail professionals at the supervisory level, who are given responsibility for other workers in their roles, provide team management and guidance, as well as take charge of resource planning and allocation.

These include: 

• Sales Supervisors
• Customer Service Supervisors 
• Senior Cashiers 
• Team Leaders 
• Branch / Outlet Supervisors 
• Display Artists 
• Senior Sales Consultants / Representatives 

To qualify for a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Retail Supervision, inpiduals must successfully complete:

• 5 core modules, and 
• 4 elective modules 

Core Modules

• Control and Maintain Stock 
• Monitor Visual Merchandising Presentation 
• Provide Marketing and Promotion Support 
• Supervise Retail Staff 
• Supervise Retail Operations 

Elective Modules

• Comply with Legal Requirements at the Workplace 
• Coordinate Interaction with Customers 
• Lead and Facilitate Productivity Improvement 
• Maintain Store Security 
• Supervise Housekeeping Standards 
• Coach for Service Performance* 
• Establish Relationships for Customer Confidence* 
• Manage a perse Service Environment* 
• Manage Operations for Service Excellence* 

* Participant may select only one of the four Service Excellence modules as an elective module.

Entry Requirements 

• GCE 'O' level Credit in English and Mathematics or Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) score: Level 4 for Reading, Listening and Numeracy, and
• Currently working in retail sector or unemployed, and have or had at least 2 years of retail working experience at supervisory level, in addition to meeting the admission requirements; or
• Currently working in non-retail sector or unemployed, and have or had at least 3 years of working experience in supervisory/managerial position, in addition to meeting the admission requirements.
