Course Syllabus/Content
This unit provides students with an understanding of accounting information deriving from all sources – Manual, Mechanical & Electronics Ability to prepare accounting statements and data in accordance with basic accounting conventions and current accounting practice as specified in the Accounting Companies Acts and in the Statements of Standard Accounting Practice which refers to:
• Disclosure of Accounting Policies

• Stocks and Long-Term Contracts

• Accounting for Depreciation

• Extraordinary items and Prior-Year Adjustment

• Statements of Sources and Applications of Funds

• Accounting for Research and Development

• Grouping Accounting

• Earning Per Share
Ability to use appreciation and analytically interpret Accounting Statements and Data.
Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to:
1. Understand accounting concepts and principles

2. Understand basic accounting conventions and current accounting practice

3. Prepare financial statements and data

4. Use analytical techniques to interpret and evaluate financial information

Admission Requirements
Students should normally satisfy the following minimum academic requirements:
• Three GCE ‘O’ level passes with a pass in Chinese
International students with equivalent qualifications may be admitted on the condition that they are proficient with Chinese.
Certification
After the completion of the short course, students will be given a Certificate of Completion by Beacon International College.
