Course Objectives:

This five-day intensive course prepares delegates for the qualification process for ISO 9001:2015 and trains them on how to conduct audits for Certification Bodies. It also empowers them to give practical help and information to those who are working towards compliance and certification. It help to gain the confidence to effectively audit a QMS in accordance with internationally recognized best practice techniques. Demonstrate your commitment to quality by transforming existing auditor skills to ISO 9001:2015.

By the end of this course you are expected to be able to get the:

Knowledge:

Describe the purpose of a quality management system, of quality management systems standards, of management system audit, of third-party certification and the business benefits of improved performance of the quality management system.

Explain the role and responsibility of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up a quality management system audit in accordance with ISO 19011, and ISO/IEC 17021-1, as applicable.

Skills:

Plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit of a quality management system to establish conformity (or otherwise) with ISO 9001 and in accordance with ISO 19011, and ISO/IEC 17021-1, as applicable.

The participants are expected to have acquired the following prior knowledge before attending the course:

• The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle.
• The relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction.
• Commonly used quality management terms and definitions and the 7 Quality Principles as given in ISO 9000.
• The process approach used in quality management.
• The model of a process based Quality Management System, the structure and content of ISO 9001: 2015
• Participants not having prior knowledge are advised to gain the same by completing CQI-IRCA Certified QMS Foundation Training Course or equivalent.

• General understanding of Quality principles
• Process Approach for Management
• Auditing ISO 9001:2015 requirements
• Audit Planning, Execution, Reporting and Follow up
• Role plays on Auditing/ Opening Meeting/ Closing Meeting
• Exercises and presentations in teams. 

There will be a written examination at the end of the course. Candidates obtaining 70% or more marks in examination and continuous assessment will be awarded the Certificate of Successful Completion. Others would get a Certificate of Attendance.
